The history of Essential Oils date back to 1,500 B.C. So you can only imagine how overwhelmed one can be when trying to absorb this amount of knowledge. I have been handling essential oils for about 3 years and I have so much more to learn. Over this short amount of time I have learned what oils work best for me. The best way to do this is by taking time out each day to utilize essential oils in a daily self care plan. There are 3 ways you can use essentials oils. Applying them topically, internally, and through inhalation.
It is important to create a self care plan because oils take longer to find their maximum benefit. We can always go to the closest pharmacy to buy pharmaceuticals but most drugs today result in several side effects. My own self care plan includes healthy eating habits and regular exercise. When you eat good, you feel good. Overtime, when you start to recognize what makes you feel good than you will have a better chance of being perceptive of when your body does not feel good. The faster you recognize how foods make you feel or how negative side effects affect you than you can quickly move away from them. I have also included self massage, acupuncture, reflexology, and meditation into my self care plan.
